After a few years of Professionally surfing and downhill mountain biking around the World, Simon Elston wanted to give back to the kids of the Helena community. He noticed that the local box stores were not giving back to the community or supporting the kids.

So in spring of 2003 Big Sky Board Sports was founded. At BSBS we brought expertise and quality experience in the sports we love … wakeboarding, skateboarding, surfing, skiing and snowboarding. If we were not experts in that particular field , we hired someone who was and now have an amazing staff of passionate riders.

One of our first steps was to start sponsoring the local talent as well as organizing events, contest movie premiers and introducing the local riders to new experiences never available to the youth of Helena.

Over the past years we have brought many top Professional Athletes to Helena. Tony Hawk, Mike Vallely, Ryan Sheckler, Phillip Soven , Tim Durtschi, Charles Gagnier, Alexis Godbout, Matt Walker just to name a few.

Our goal is to grow and help the kids of Helena grow too. Taking local talent to the next level whether it be contests, academically or just in life lessons.
